American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland
Chemin du Levant 5, 1814 La Tour-de-Peilz, Vaud, Switzerland Direction : Dr. M. El Khansa
Our campus sits in La Tour-de-Peilz on the shores of Lake Geneva, between picturesque Montreux and Vevey, home to several global corporations. Positioned in the heart of Europe, AUS is exceptionally well connected to major European cities by rail and air, and is close to Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, and Geneva, a world center for diplomacy and international organizations. The surrounding region offers a safe, multilingual environment with vibrant arts, sports, and outdoor life, creating an inspiring setting for study and personal growth.
Through experiential, student-centered learning, AUS immerses students in real-life scenarios that mirror today’s business challenges. Courses blend theory with application through discussions, problem-solving exercises, and hands-on projects so students learn to make decisions with incomplete information, collaborate effectively, and communicate their ideas with clarity. This approach is designed to help students thrive in a world evolving at an accelerating pace—one shaped by new technologies, shifting consumer behaviors, and the “new normal” of the post-pandemic era.
Every student earns a dual degree: one from AUS and one from our partner institution in the United States of America. This pathway broadens academic recognition across regions, strengthens graduates’ international profiles, and gives them access to two academic communities and alumni networks, enhancing mobility and career options after graduation.
All courses are taught in English to small cohorts by faculty who bring extensive experience in successful business ventures. Their practical know-how and industry insight create lively, interactive classrooms where current cases and emerging trends are discussed alongside foundational frameworks. Faculty leverage their professional networks to invite industry leaders for guest lectures, panel discussions, and talks that add real-world expertise to the curriculum. With an approximate 1:7 teacher-to-student ratio, students build close working relationships with professors, receive individualized feedback, and benefit from mentoring that supports academic development, research interests, and career planning.
AUS draws on a global network of alumni and corporate partners to keep programs aligned with the latest business developments and labor-market needs. These connections inform curriculum updates, highlight emerging skill sets, and create opportunities for engagement with the broader business community. The institution is also committed to strengthening its impact on the communities in which it operates, encouraging initiatives that connect classroom learning with real societal needs and that foster an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset across sectors.
