École Vinet

Rue de l'École Supérieure 2, 1005 Lausanne Direction : Madame Bernadette KABA
Alexandre Vinet (1797-1847), visionary theologian and pedagogue, founded the "École Supérieure de Jeunes Filles" on rue de la Madeleine in Lausanne in 1839, under the patronage of the municipality. As a semi-official school, it was the very first institution to offer secondary education to girls in the canton of Vaud. Over the years, the École Vinet has continued to play a leading role in the development of education in the canton. For almost two centuries now, the school has been successfully preparing its students to pursue further studies.

For a school with such a long history, this implies an ongoing challenge to adapt and innovate. École Vinet continues to take up this challenge with passion, to provide students with the best possible foundations for achieving their full potential later on in their adult lives, finding their place with ease in a rapidly changing world.
